Birds A Plenty

My daily bird project has really taken off. I never knew how many people have the same appreciation for my feathered friends. I have sold 20 birds, which is working towards a sizable donation to the San Diego Food Bank, Among those sales are several custom orders. I had requests for additional cardinals, roosters, and I even had a request for a Quetzal. If you don't know what that is (I didn't at first), the Quetzal is beautiful, exotic bird with a long, glamorous tail. It is native to Central America and Mexico. See below:

I am going to continue to paint birds until I finish this box of canvas boards. Then I will start a new series, and I have a few ideas....
I have had several people suggest additional applications for the birds. Among them, note cards, jigsaw puzzles and printed needlepoint canvas. These are all fantastic ideas and I am going to consider them, as well as others, as I prepare for this year's Fall Show and Sale.
Please check out my store for the latest birds and be on the lookout for more. I am happy to take special requests. I only have about a dozen left to paint! And while you are there, have a look at my other paintings. I have a variety of sizes and subjects available. www.lisahinkleyart.com
